Hello all,
We are (barring any major weather issues) going to be having Tuesday activities. We will be having Sports/Games night, so come on out and play! :)
We are going to be discussing how best to handle making up the missed Faith in God night. As soon as we have a concrete conclusion on that, your leaders will be letting you know.
Thanks so much for all your support!

Tonight is Den Night!
Make sure you bring whatever you need to finish with you to Den Night tonight! If you can't make it, make sure you talk to your leaders about it so that we can still get everyone passed off.

Tonight's activities are:
Wolves: Faith in God-Tonight we're going to focus on memorizing the first and second article of faith. After we work on that for a little bit, I'm bringing pedigree charts and family group charts to start the kids on, and we'll have a discussion on the importance of temple work.

- Requirement 3a (page 57)-Make a chart and keep track of your health habits for two weeks. Your son should keep track of his good health habits (e.g., bathing/showering, hand washing, teeth brushing, water drinking, physical activity, sleep) for two weeks.
- Requirement 7c (page 76)-It takes a lot of energy to make glass, cans and paper products. You can help save energy by collecting these items for use again. Find out how recycling is done where you live. Find out what items you can recycle. A good rescource to discuss how recycling is done in Howard County is the following website: http://www.co.ho.md.us/PDW/recycling.htm. In addition to exploring this website, please collect a few items to recycle (please include a variety, if possible--e.g., aluminum cans, food cans, cardboard/paper, glass, plastic) and have your son bring these items with him on Tues., Jan. 26th; we'll have a brief discussion/activity regarding this requirement that evening.
- Requirement 7d (page 76)- With an adult, pick up litter in your neighborhood. Wear gloves to protect your hands against germs and cuts from sharp objects. This can be done by simply going on a walk with your son and bringing a trash bag along with you. Pick up any trash items you find along the way.

Cub Scouts 2010
Hi Everybody!
I'll be posting the calendar schedule for the year for all the dens on a month-to-month basis here on this blog. This is so that in the unlikely event that your scout loses his schedule (>wink!<), you'll still be able to have up-to-date information. If you use GoogleReader (super easy to set up), you won't have to check the site so often, Reader will simply show you when there's an update. Feel free to email with any questions or concerns which you or your scout may have.
Looking forward to a great new year,
Annie
